Q: I have a JD Ztrak 820 with a kawasaki FH721V engine want to know if this engine will replace it? Is the shaft size the same?
A: It should be similar but may have some slight differences. You will have to check the crankshaft on your mower as the same basic model of engine can be built with different size crankshafts.
Q: what is the amperage output of teh alternator?
A: The alternator is rated at 20 amps.
Q: We purchased the FD731V-BS07 engine and we need the wiring diagram.. Could you please send us the wiring diagram..
A: Wire diagrams are usually specified by the equipment manufacturer rather than the
engine company. We don't have wiring for the 28-1714 although it can usually be traced out fairly easily.
Q: WHATS THE WARRANTY?
A: The warranty is 90 days through Surplus Center
Q: Os this engine 15" wide by 22" long and 19" high?
A: That is correct
Q: How does this wire?
A: Sorry but we do not have a wiring diagram. That would be available through Kawasaki
Q: What is the difference between a BS03 and a BS07?
A: Sorry but we do not know the difference between the different model numbers
Q: What does 10" B.C. mean?
A: 10" bolt circle. Measured diagonally from one mounting hole to the other. Most will have the same, they are industry standard for all brands.
Q: Is this engine considered industrial like the kawasaki fx engine? Is it the very same air filtration systme as the kawasaki fx ?
A: Yes, these are a professional quality. They do have the better canister type air filter than the standard ones for the FD series.
Q: Is this a Gasoline powered Engine or a diesel powered engine.
A: This engine runs on gasoline.
Q: will this fit a cub cadet ltx 1050?
A: Sorry we don't have application info. It it measures the same as yours it probably will with some possible adjustment to linkages, etc.
Q: I was able to thread the mounting holes with a 3/8 x 16 tap quite easily. The holes as provided aren't tapped at all.
A: Many mower manufacturer's now specify blank holes and use large self-tapping bolts for installing the engine to the deck.
Q: what is the direction of rotation when looking at the end of the shaft?
A: This crankshaft will turn CCW when viewed from it's end.
