On the side of the box that the gauge is in it says after installation pull up on pressure relief vent to relieve pressure and then right below it says to prick before use. Do you just do the pull up or the prick before use or do you do both of these steps. Thank you
A: The purpose of the plug is to retain the glycerin fluid. Because there may be an ambient air pressure change between where the gauge is manufactured and where it is to be used, the plug needs to be moved just enough or punctured just enough to equalize the internal and external forces. If the gauge is in a location that it may be inverted, simply moving the plug to the side far enough to equalize will work. Puncturing the plug with a needle will allow for equalization as well, but may lead to slow leaking of the glycerin if inverted. Use whatever method is suitable for your application.

What is the accuracy of your gauges: Items 21-1800-A and 21-1800-E? Thank you.
A: The manufacturer states their accuracy as +/- 2% FSD.
