Is it recommended to keep the gauges upright? Hence all the different side/back/bottom connections? Or is it possible to take a bottom mount gauge and use an 90 degree elbow to mount it horizontally?
A: Gauges can be mounted and will read in any orientation unless specifically noted otherwise. With liquid filled gauges, it is best to mount them in a way to prevent fluid loss from the fill hole, unless the hole is physically sealed after being vented to equalize the case pressure to the ambient pressure of the operating area.

The Brass fittings that are on your 5000 and 3000 psi liquid filled pressure gauges, are they strong enough to handle that hydraulic pressure being that they have brass fittings and not steel. (gauge type item number: 21-1044, 21-1045.
A: Yes the connector is rated for full pressure that the gauge can read.
