Can this motor be used on a table saw?

I am looking for a motor for hydraulic pump drive duty in the 5-8 hp 220 volt. Please advise.

Can this motor be used for a Hydraulic pump? I am building a Press,, and would like to keep the cost down.
A: It is not rated for hydraulic pump drive duty, no.

What exactly is a "compressor motor"? I plan to install the motor on a lathe.
A: Compressor motors are designed for the power demand fluctuation when filling and developing pressure in a compressed air storage system. This motor will not operate at a 5 Hp rating on a continuous basis. Ideally any continuous application would not require any greater than 3 Hp.
