After planting for a couple hours, the right marker wants to raise by itself or the left marker will drop. It is always the right marker. It is always after several hours of planting. IH 800 planter. I only removed the old IH electric switches when I put this SQV on. The lift rams for the machine still go thru the IH valve block. thoughts?

A: It's likely that after the oil gets past a certain temperature due to extended use, the viscosity drops enough to slip past the wear in the tractor's valving at a high enough rate to actuate the sequence valve.

is this the sequence valve for a yetter marker system I have on a 750 JD no till drill?

A: We have no information to say that it is the same as the original equipment on that system.

Am I correct in assuming that partially lifting the down marker to clear an obstruction will not change the valve so that the same marker can be relowered? I'm hoping that the valve will not shift to the opposite circuit until the cylinder being operated "bottoms out" and creates enough pressure to cause the valve to shift.

A: According to the manufacturer anytime the action of the cylinder is reversed, whether it be partially or not, the sequence shuttle will be triggered to shift to the next action. If actuated slowly enough, it may be possible to avoid having to cycle the sequence, but their engineers are not certain.

What size are the inlet and outlet ports?

A: Ports are SAE 8 (ORB 3/4-16). Same size for all 3 ports.

How do you plumb the CROSS PLANTER MARKER SEQUENCE VALVE ? I am using it for markers on my planter, operating a double acting cylinder on each side. Also does it allow both markers to be in the raised position for transport? Thanks

A: Please click on the additional information link to the right. This provides all the plumbing info for this valve.
