will i hurt this pump if it is connected to my flywheel turning constantly while not having or using my front loader connected to it with quick disconnect fittings..Not using a PTO but instead directly connected to power source so it turns constantly but not always connecting hydraulics to the quick disconnect fittings...
A: This is a positive displacement gear pump, so if it is being turned and the fluid has no place to go, either the pump or something attached to it will be subjected to excessive pressure and catastrophically fail. The pump could explode, a hose or fitting could burst, and the possibility exists that someone nearby could suffer injury or oil injection leading to death. Don't turn it if it's not hooked up to an open center system. To learn more about hydraulic systems and fluid power safety, we recommend items 9-1124, 9-1125, 9-1126, and 9-1127.

I was wondering if a 11hp Honda engine will run this pump thanks
A: At 3600 RPM this pump would be able to reach 2000 psi continuously with 11 HP driving it.
