can get seal for this pump

A: No, we do not sell a seal kit for this pump.

Trying to find a replacement pump for Sears log splitter model #498286682, part #200325. Sears no longer supports this. It’s 2 stage 3/32 key, hub coupling 7/16, 90 degree elbo (1/2 npt x 5/8) for suction hose, 2000 psi, 5hp Brigs engine running at 3600 rpm, idle speed 1750 rpm. Right now pump runs but low pressure, not enough tosplit wood. No leaks in lines

A: This would be a functional replacement, but you will have to work around the slight differences in porting and shaft size.

What HP of Eletric Motor do i used ?

A: This pump requires a 5 Hp electric motor (3600 rpm) to operate properly.

will it work on a 5 horse briggs

A: It should. The pump is rated to demand 5 HP.

so, to be sure...this pump with the 3hp 10-2885 motor will shift at 2750 psi?.......and work fine together?

A: No. The pump likely will never shift into the high pressure mode. A 3 HP motor is simply not enough for this pump.

I bought this pump from you guys and the 3 hp motor 10-2885....what is the max psi I can run without stalling the motor?

A: The shift pressure on this pump is 700 psi at 11 gpm. To achieve that will take in excess of 5 HP electric. If indeed you had enough horsepower to shift the pump, on the high pressure side you could expect to see around 2300-2400 psi at 1.8 gpm with 3 HP. However, with only 3 HP you will stall out at about 400 psi at the 11 gpm flow and the pump will very likely not ever shift.

How are you? this question was asked prior but thought id try and ask about it just in case. Pump looks to be what I need but Im having trouble finding exact specs on mine anywhere. any chance you know if this would work with MTD yard machine 25 ton splitter? Model 24AF550c729 everything looks close but my high pressure inlet is 3/4" one I see you have says 1" barb? current pump shaft is 1/2" engine shaft is 7/8" this search is killing me LOL thank you.

A: We have no information regarding the OEM pump specs on that model. If the flow rates and pressures are similar to what your pump has/had and will mount up, modifying your suction line to 1" barb shouldn't be too difficult. If your hose is 3/4" NPT male it should only take a female/female coupler with 3/4"NPT on one side and 1" NPT on the other (9-5000-16-12), then screwing a 1" NPT male x 1" barb into it (9-4404-16-16) with a short piece of 1" hose and a couple hose clamps to join them to the barb on the pump. If the joining hose is sufficiently short (5-6"), you may not even need reinforced hose. If the current pump is a 3/4" barb, the same principle applies, but would end up with a 3/4" barb on the other side (9-4404-12-12)instead of leaving the fem/fem coupler as is.

Will this pump fit a Didier L2000 log spliter. This was a spliter attachment for Troy bilt PTO horse tiller

A: We don't have any information regarding that piece of equipment, and as such cannot say if it will be comparable or not.

what size key way does the shaft have?

A: This pump has a 1/8" keyway.

is this an American made pump?

A: Yes they are made in Rockford IL.

Will pump number S21202-5292 fit a log splitter purchased at Tractor Supply Company without having to modify it? It is a 28 ton splitter.

A: The facts you should check would be mounting (4 bolt 2" square), shaft size (1/2" diameter), input port (1" hose barb) and outlet port (1/2" NPT). Most two stage log splitter pumps have specs like this.

Will his pump work on a Ironton 208 cc engine ? Also, what mounting bracket would I need for this pump/engine, and lovejoys. Using it for a log splitter. thanks!

A: This should work fine with that engine. Use the 1-3236 bracket.

will this pump work on 6.5hp at 3000psi without stalling engine

A: Yes it will. At 3000 PSI the pump will be shifted into the low flow stage of 1.8 GPM. This flow and pressure will be ok with a 6.5 HP engine.

Can I return this pump if it is not the pump I need for the particular log splitter I am attempting to repair? I have been dealing with the "parent" company; Brave Products Inc., and they have been no help at all. Apparently the company sold out and the "new" ownership can not cross reference serial #'s Pump, item # 9-7972-11 looks like what I need. "

A: It could be returned if you have not installed it , painted or modified it in any way. This type of pump is usually just specified by the engine size. The mounts are the same but you might have to change the input or output lines to match.

From what orientation are you considering CW rotation? What is the bolt pattern of this pump (diagonal measurement center to center)? Thank you.

A: Rotation is with shaft pointing at you. Meant to be directly coupled to a gas engine. Bolt patter 4F17 is 2.838" Bolt circle with a 1.781" pilot

Is this for a counter clockwise rotation or clockwise .? If not wht do you have for 11gpm counter clockwise ?

A: These are only available in CW rotation. They are designed to be direct coupled to the crankshaft of a small gas engine. We have brackets and shaft couplers to match up with most engines.

Is the unloading valve fixed at 700, or adjustable and just preset to 700? Made in Rockford? no hurry. tks, kevin j

A: It is not adjustable. The setting is to maximize the use of the engine HP.

Can you tell me what engine-to-motor mount I would need to mount a 4 bolt log splitter (2stage pump) to a Honda GX390? I have the coupler & spider figured out I am struggling with getting the correct mount. The honda has a pretty long shaft! Thanks

A: Use with item 1-3239. Standard shaft length for the engine would be 3-21/32".

Can this pump use tractor trans/hydraulic oil or is dextron atf suggested for this pump?

A: Standard hydraulic fluid should be used with this pump, not ATF.
