DESCRIPTION

1/2" NPT FLOW CONTROL VALVE
Brand new, WOLVERINE by PRINCE model WFC-800 inline flow control valve. Designed to provide flow control and shut-off in one flow direction while providing free flow in the opposite direction. Color bands for fast return to previous setting. Set screw to lock valve to any setting. Carbon steel body.

Hello on the 9-7960-8 flow controls is the knob metal, Aluminum or plastic? please let me know. Also do you carry pressure compensated flow controls?

I have a new Holland skid steer with a snow plow the angle movement is very quick will this slow it down

A: This will restrict flow in one direction, while allowing free flow in the other. If you wish to restrict flow in both directions, use item 9-7961-8. If applied properly, either one could be used to slow down the cylinder action.

what side is input from the full flow so I can adjust flow wfc 800

A: Flow from the longer side to the shorter is restricted (adjustable). Flow from the shorter to the longer is free flow.

can I get this flow valve with a straight thread o-ring seal -8 port?

A: We do not carry this valve in that configuration, no.

Will decreasing flow from 12 gpm to 1 gpm cause excessive heat?

A: If the entire flow is reduced via this method on a continuous basis, yes. If the actuator only sees intermittent use, then no. This should not be used to reduce system flow, only an individual cylinder or an intermittent use motor.

I have a 763 bobcat skid steer that I had a grapple bucket custom made for. The hydraulics are too fast and I need a way to slow them down. Would this work?

A: This will only slow flow down in one direction. Placing item 9-7961-8 in one work line to an actuator will slow the flow down in both directions.

Is 15 gallons per minute full flow in both directions or is it the max in the restricted direction with the unrestricted direction even higher?

A: 15 gpm is the max rated flow with minimal pressure drop in both directions when fully opened.

I have a dump trailer with power up an down. It comes down way too fast and slams down. Could this be used in the return line to slow down the flow? Slowing the fluid on the down stroke but allowing it to pass full volume in the other direction.

A: Yes this is an ideal application for this valve. It will it to raise at full pump speed yet restrict flow to slow down the lowering rate.

How many turns of the adjuster are required to go from zero flow to full flow? Can this item be disassembled?

A: The knob has a 5.5 turn range. There doesn't appear to be any good way to disassemble it.
