Just purchased this valve for an open center system on an ih 1086. Little confused on how to hook it up properly with the power beyond plug. Do I need to remove plug and connect that back to pressure line or leave it plugged and hook up exit port back in line to the pressure side. With the plug removed I'm guessing I plumb the exit port back to the tank.

I want to replace the control valve on a 1954 ford NAA with a new holland loader. will this work ?
A: These are very versatile valves and can be converted to Closed Center or Power Beyond if needed. There's a good chance that it would work with minimal changes if any are necessary. Check your system type, flow rate, and pressure rating to confirm compatibility.

I HAVE A JOHNDEERE TRACTOR WITH A BAD CONTROL VALVE WILL THIS VALVE WORK FOR A REPLACEMENT
A: We have had a number of customers do that with this valve. Make sure of your system type; frequently John Deere systems are Closed Center and this valve would need to be converted with the use of 9-4895-C if so.

I ordered 2 of these for my wood processor and do not need the float function. Without exchanging them for the 6702 without float is there a way to convert them to non float?
A: No. Float spools are longer and require the special end cap. There is no way to remove the float function.

I am converting a small dozer to hydraulic motors for the tracks..Will this valve be what I need for forward and reverse.
A: You would likely not need float on the first spool, so could use 9-6702.

I just purchased a rd522ccea5a4b1 every thing works good only one question when I push the handle forward for the ram it extends all the way and then snap backs into neutral like its suppose to but when I pull it back I have to hold it all the way is this particular one supposed to go back all by itself ? Or can you adjust it so you can thanks mike
A: On the splitter/lifter valve, the pressure release detent is only on the extend stroke. If the detent is kicking on the extend but not the retract, it sounds like the hoses to the cylinder are reversed. Switch those, and you will have manual control over the split stroke and the retract will have the detented action.

I purchased a pump # 9-4068 and will be purchasing a 2 spool hydraulic valve # 9-6702F. I am told that my loader is a closed system. the valve is an open system. I see no hydraulic valve with a closed system, did see a plug. need your input on how to proceed.
A: The 9-4068 pump is a gear pump and this would be on open center system. So using the 9-6702-F would be fine. The only part on a loader that would be closed center is the valve so if you are changing to the 9-6702-F it will be fine.

I have a 14GPM pump but the relief pressure I'm looking for is 1850. Is there any reason a 25GPM max valve wouldn't work. This looks like the only valve that has the relief pressure range I am needing. Thank you.
A: This valve will work fine in your application. It can be used with any flow up to the maximum of 25 GPM.

I have purchased a 2 SPOOL 25 GPM PRINCE RD522GCGA5A4B1 OC VALVE W/F valve with a pressure relief valve. I am installing a closed center plug for closed center operation, which direction (C or CW) do I turn the pressure relief valve to increase the pressure above the 2000 psi pre-set value, I need at least 2300 psi
A: The spring pressure on the relief is tightened by turning the screw CW to apply more pressure. It will not take too much to get over the compensator pressure.
