VARIABLE FREQUENCY 1PH/3PH TO 3PH AC MOTOR CONTROL
Brand new TECO model FM50-203-C. Variable frequency drive for controlling speed of a three phase motor from a single or 3 phase power
source. Keypad switches for Start/Stop and Speed control. Programmable acceleration and deceleration time, upper and lower
frequency. Also has terminals for external controls to reverse motor or use external potentiometer (not included) for speed
control. Internal cooling fan. Use with standard 3 phase induction motors.
Does this drive come with a heatsink or doesn't it require any?
A: It does not require one as long as specifications listed above are not exceeded.

Is this also a phase converter? I have 220vac in my garage and want to power and control the speed of a 3hp 3 phase motor.

Does the unit come complete with a schematic showing type and ohmic value of the potentiometer and wattage with perhaps curves so that an additional circuit or mechanical drive system for the pot. could be used? The object here is to supply just enough rpm to a three phase motor to drive a pump that would supply water at the rate it is being used. Also, I would like to use 240 volts single phase for the input of the converter.
A: The only information supplied is the manual. There is no complete electrical schematic available. This controller does state that it will tolerate up to 240VAC single or three-phase input.

can this be used with 480v also?
A: No, it cannot.

Can this unit be operated with a foot pedal
A: It doesn't appear that this unit supports remote operation for adjustment.

What additional equipment will I need to vary the rpm of the motor I am using, and what will the price be for the additional equipment? Nicholas
A: This can be used directly to vary the speed of a 3 phase motor up to 3 HP. It is possible to remotely control it using potentiometers but we do not stock them.
