I looked up the letter "Z" on a motor frame size chart to see if this motor would work in our application. The chart said that it meant that there's something special about the shaft. The specs here say that the diameter, length and keyway are all standard so I was wondering what is special about the shaft on this motor?
A: The standard length for 182T/C frame motors is supposed to be 2.75". This motor's shaft is 2.625", which necessitates the special code.
