I ordered this winch motor and am having a bad time finding a means to switch forward/rev.I have tried solenoids and a mom. switch but had repeated problems.I need to know the loaded amp. rating and for how long. Will the 50 amp. reversing switch you have handle the motor under a load. Roger
A: Depending on your winch, the full load amp draw could be in excess of 200 amps, which would cut the run time down to much less than a minute, and would shorten the life of even 150 amp continuous rated solenoids. The 50 amp momentary reversing switch would not survive very long at that current.
