i have a countyline 25 ton wood splitter it has 25gpm filter with bypass speeco number 578459 do you havea replacement for this filter ?
A: We have no cross reference information to match that filter, and there is no specific information available on the manufacturer's website referencing that filter. We are unable to say if we would have anything compatible.

I JUST SET UP A SPLITTER WITH YOUR PUMP 9-7970 22 GAL. AND YOUR RETURN FILTER RATER AT 25 GPM. READING SOME OF THE QUESTION IT LOOKS LIKE I AM USING THE WRONG FILTER. IT LOOKS LIKE I SHOULD HAVE USED 9-4543. IS THIS SO?
A: It may be a good idea to change over to the higher flow capacity filter. With that pump you may run into a situation where the combination of unused pump flow and actuator return flow could overwhelm the smaller filter body/head.

I have a Case Ingersoll 448 tractor with a 18hp Onan motor running at peak rpm of 3600rpm. The motor is direct coupled to a Eaton Cessna D27X08 (Crosses to a D27AA2A pump) supplying 2.71gpm/1000rpm at 2000 to 2500psi max. I would like to put the correct size return oil filter on the machine. I have selected the 3/4" 25gpm return line filter with 25 psi bypass item #9-059. Would you advise? Thanks, JT
A: Even at the full rated rpm of the engine, that filter is more than adequate for the capacity produced, given those values.

My Barreto LS20 log splitter has a Barreto 03951 hydraulic filter. it's roughly 4' H, and 3.5" dia. Do you sell a zinga equal? Thanks
A: We do not sell a filter that crosses to that model, no.

the 9-059 filter would be ok with a 16 GPM pump with an 8 HP Briggs eng. for a log splitter
A: It should be adequate, yes.

Will this filter work on a wood splitter 16 hp 21 gpm pump ? Thank you
A: The pass-through volume could be overwhelmed by the addition of any return line volume from an actuator. This could lead to excessive pressure in the return line and result in failure of the head. It would be best to use item 9-4543 as an alternative.

Intend to order your Dynamic 21 GPM pto pump (Item# 9-8902-9) which is currently out of stock. Would your Zinga 25 GPM return line filter (Item # 9-059) be an adequate filter on this pump? Will be mounted on a log splitter. thanks for any advice. Pat
A: While the filtration is adequate, the pass-through volume could be overwhelmed by the addition of any return line volume from an actuator. It would be best to use item 9-4543 as an alternative.

We are mounting this return filter base below the oil level in the reservoir. Dose this base have a check valve in it to keep all the oil from coming out of the reservoir when we go to change the filter? If not what do you recommend to keep this from occurring?
A: No, it does not. Customers typically use a ball valve to shut the flow off, placed in between the filter and the tank or in some cases both sides of the filter. Care must be taken to open the valves when done if this method is used.

Does the filter base come with an element, and is the element thread standard such that the Zinga filter element is not proprietary?
A: This item includes the filter head and one element. The thread on the element is quite common (1-12 thread).
