How would you add a foot pedal and motor starter?

A: A competent electrician would be able to set up that configuration. We do not have a foot pedal switch or starter for the motor.

Can a directional valve be added to make it a two way pump?

A: Yes, the output could be fed to a directional valve to provide double acting control.

Can I remove the tank and use a external tank for the oil?

A: The pump pulls fluid from the tank via a pickup tube, and returns fluid to the tank via a port in the endhead section. It is possible, but would require some modifications to be determined in the field. Customers typically plumb additional capacity into the existing reservoir without removing it.

How much hydraulic oil is in a 2 foot cylinder X 2" ?

A: It takes about 76 cubic inches/.33 gallon of hydraulic fluid to extend a 2" bore cylinder 24 inches.

This says it is a horizontal mount but is it possible to mount it vertically?

A: It is possible mount these vertically. This requires the purchase of the vertical mount kit (item #KV). It is not advertised on our website, but it is available. This consists of a new pickup fitting and suction strainer, but due to the varying length of tanks it can adapt to the customer is expected to source new pickup tubing locally.

where can I find a wiring diagram for this unit

A: On the right side of the web page showing this item are 2 red boxes labeled "Dimensional Drawing" and "Additional Information". The "Additional Information" has wiring data.

is there a larger oil tank available for this pump? We need 2-1/2 gallon usable. Thanks, Kris

A: Yes, please see item 9-8625-4G.

What weight of hydraulic oil is recommended for your ac powered pumps

A: The standard oil that SPX recommends is ASTM grade 215 with a viscosity index of 100.

Can the solenoid valve be replaced with the manual lever valve for lowering? If so, what is the PN for the manual valve option? What cavity is it?

A: Sorry these are only available as shown with the solenoid valve.
