Can this pump be hydraulically back driven for use as a motor?
A: While it is theoretically possible to use a pump as a motor (in one direction only), it does lead to efficiency issues and shortened lifespans. It is usually a step of last resort.

Can this pump be used in a belt driven application?
A: This series of pumps has a sleeve bushing assembly which will tolerate limited side load for pulley driving in the correct plane. For this particular pump, the correct plane for the side load would be in a direction directly up from the shaft, as the pump is oriented so the idler gear is lowest, the drive gear is highest, and the shaft is facing the observer.
