Can this pump be reliably powered from a chain sprocket with 150-200# of chain pull? If not, what gear pump of similar specs might be used?
A: This series of pumps does not have an outboard bearing to support the shaft adequately under side load (pulley or chain drive) conditions. None of the pumps we currently have are equipped as such. If chain or pulley drive is needed, use of a jackshaft assembly is recommended. While the pumps will operate under such conditions, their lifespan will be greatly reduced.

Would this pump work in a vertical position, 18hp on a log splitter.
A: While this pump should work in any orientation, it must be noted that log splitters typically use two-stage pumps.

What is the distance of the bolt holes and the diameter of the of the round locating flange? I couldn't find any description of flange sizes etc on your web site.
A: Under the Technical Help tab on our website, there is a chart for NFPA standard mounting flanges detailing the bolt circles and pilot diameters. The SAE AA dimensions you mentioned are: Bolt circle-3.25" Pilot diameter-2"x 1/4" tall.

The overall dimension for this, is that including the shaft? Or the pump plus the shaft length?
