What HP engine would be most appropriate to turn this pump at the 1800RPM required to obtain 7.9gmp? thank you, jason

A: The HP required to generated 7.9 gpm @ 3000 psi continuously with an industrial gas or diesel engine is approximately 22 HP. If your system pressure requirement is less, the horsepower demand will also be lower. Keep in mind that ideally this pump should be direct driven, so a jackshaft assembly would need to be used to get a standard gas or diesel engine rpm down to 1800.
