is there a version of this pump in ccw

A: yes, item number 9-7796-D is the CCW equivalent of this pump

I need a pump to drive two Eaton motors simultaneously. 104-1002-006 (300 rpm) and 104-1005-006 (150 rpm). Both need approximately 8 gpm. Will this pump be a good fit at 3,000 rpm?

A: No, at 3000 rpm this pump would be producing nearly 25 gpm. Item 9-7794-B would produce just over 16 gpm at 3000 rpm and would allow you to split the flow 50/50 to power those motors as you desire.

Is there a drain port I need to hook up, and if so what size?

A: There is no drain port on this pump, only the suction inlet and the pressure outlet.

Can this pump handle a side load to be run with a pulley or sprocket

A: These pumps were meant to be direct driven, and only have a sleeve bushing on the input shaft. Side load will dramatically decrease their lifespan.

Do I know rotation by looking at the front ( shaft side) or the rear? Looking at the rear the arrow points to my right.

A: We define rotation as looking at the shaft. Arrows on pump bodies may or may not be accurate to determine rotation. Facing the pump with the shaft toward you with drive gear on top and idler gear (belly) on bottom, a CW rotation pump will have the inlet on the left hand side and is usually a larger port size. As the drive shaft travels CW, the oil will travel from the inlet around the outside of the gear set, compressing as the gear meshes on the right side and being forced out the outlet.
