PRINCE SPD2. Special design for building tandem pumps. Through shaft and an integral SAE A 2 bolt 5/8-9 tooth mount on rear. Use with spline Prince pumps, item 9-1895 through 9-1901 and 9-1788. Maximun operating pressure may be decreased depending on the displacement and operating pressure of rear pump. SPECIFICATIONS
How does the rear pump affect the front pump pressure? Is it limited by the torque that the front shaft can handle? If so, what is the permissible combined torque or maximum HP at peak RPM?
A: Provided that the appropriate horsepower to power both pumps at the intended speeds and pressures is supplied, there should be no noticeable change in either pump output due to loading on either circuit. The pump through-shaft on the main pump is designed to handle the full power and torque of both pumps operated at their respective continuous speeds and pressures regardless of displacement combinations.
