FLOW CONTROL Brand new PRINCE. Speed remain constant regardless of load. "Controlled flow" port is proportional to orifice dia that changes from full closed to full open. Pressure conpensated OUT flows. Three female threaded ports.
Built-in adjustable 1000 to 2500 PSI relief set at 1500 PSI
A: To adjust the relief valve, unscrew the large hex castle nut protruding from the right side as you face the inlet. Use an Allen wrench to tighten or loosen the threaded stem as necessary within the valve's range while reading the system pressure on a gauge. Replace the castle nut.

What's the difference between this item and ITEM NUMBER: 9-4169-10. Is it just the threading and relief valve?
A: Yes, those are the only differences. Functionality is identical otherwise.

Would this flow control valve be suitable to split hydraulic flow form a single gear pump to two sets of valves? In this case would you have the 'set' flow (50%-50%) available at each set of valves used at the same time, or would the fluid take the path of least resistance?
A: Because of the possibility of the lever being accidentally moved and shutting off the flow to the controlled port, this valve is not the best choice. If 50/50 splitting is desired, see item #9-1048-A, B, or C. If one valve requires more flow than the other, we also sell fixed priority flow dividers in a number of flow ratings.

Does this valve have variable pressure relief or is it factory set?
A: The relief pressure can be adjusted. Factory setting is 1500 PSI.

Can this be used as a diverter valve?
A: It could, as long as it's understood that the excess flow is not protected by the onboard relief. Only the controlled flow is.
