REMOTE STROKE CONTROL VALVE Brand new, PRINCE model PM-SC-10 remote stroke control valve. Intended for depth limiting applications, tillage, fertilizers or seed planters. Intended for controlling rephasing hydraulic cylinders only. The valve closing is initiated using a mechanical, 30-50 lb. spring loaded striker plate. Valve closes to prevent return flow.
I have a three cylinder rephasing system, could one port be blocked on this valve? Or would I need to run two short hoses to a T, then from the T to the master cylinder?
A: The two cylinder ports are common to each other in either position, so one could be blocked and the valve would still function.

I'm assuming this could be used on a single D/A hyd ram for depth controller on a press brake by plugging the second cylinder port. My question is does reversing the flow open the valve and allow the upstroke?
A: It does not appear so. The reverse flow is blocked to the inlet after the stroke control valve has actuated. The outlet ports are still connected, allowing the flow on a rephasing system to pass and move the bar/platen/item in reverse, taking pressure off the stroke control pin. Hydraulic pressure on the inlet on a subsequent cycle resets the stroke control pin. It is meant to work in a rephasing system with multiple cylinders, and would not work with a single double-acting cylinder.
