12 VDC HYDRAULIC SOLENOID VALVE Brand new, EATON-VICKERS DG4V-3 series, double-solenoid control valve. Spring centering spool. Manual override on solenoids. Subplate mounting requires D03 subplate (sold separately) for port connections. Use with two Hirschmann connectors (sold separately) for wiring.
I have a D/R Rivett model# 6550 1 01 12VDC-72 will item 9-6136 replace it?
A: We cannot cross your product with ours, we are unable to verify compatibility.
We would recommend that you source the specs of your valve and cross them with our listed information.

If you install two of these on subplate 9-5883-2 can you operate both valves at the same time?
A: Yes, but because these are for series applications, the pressure across all the spools will be distributed evenly, so using multiple functions at once will lower the usable pressure for all functions.

I want to run a hydro motor off the back of my tractors hydros 6.1 gpm I want to use a electric solenoid but I have to be able to reverse the flow is this the right one for me or can you suggest one and it must be open center when not being used
A: This is an Open Center valve, but the work ports are blocked in neutral. You may need item 9-6137, which is also Open Center, but with the work ports open to Tank in neutral to allow any motor controlled by it to coast to a stop if an otherwise damaging amount of inertia is built up.

Will this valve work on 24VDC?
A: No, the coil is only good for 12VDC.

I'm building a third function switch for my tractor loader. I want to add a solenoid actuated valve to the hydraulics. I assume I need this, a subplate, a switch and it looks like 2 hirschmann connectors as well. My question is, do you have a subplate/valve that has a power beyond port? I'd like to place this inline between the valve for my loader and the rear SCV valves without having to plumb a separate line. Is this possible?
A: Unfortunately, no. We do not have a sub-plate assembly capable of power beyond.

will this valve work to power auxiliary hydraulics
A: Please contact our Product Support department to discuss your application.

What type of 12 vdc switch is required to operate valve?
A: Any switch that will handle the rated current and voltage could be made to work. Typically it would be a momentary switch for cylinders, and a maintained switch for motors if necessary.

Installed this and tractor with max flow of 9 GPM , It causes oil to heat up and have lost quite a bit of horsepower espesscially at higher rpm s when not using valve . Looking at the size of the holes they are to small to flow 10 gpm without loss of power and heating . Is this true ? and what valve should or could be used to stop this ?
A: The industry standard flow rating for D03 manifolds is 14 GPM with a 15fps oil speed. The pressure drop across that orifice size in the manifold is less than 100 psi at 10 GPM. If there are any 90 degree fittings used in plumbing the manifold, especially on the inlet and outlet, they could contribute to line resistance which could negatively impact the characteristics of the system. If the tractor system is closed center and this valve/manifold is open center, the pump would be subject to overwork and the system would overheat. Please contact our Technical Service department if these are not issues in your application.

Will this valve work if I come off of my loader valve (PB) to install a grapple bucket on loader?
A: If you pair it with the proper D03 Subplate and confirm that your system is Open Center it should work.

is the pressure port and the tank port connected in neutral so that the flow will circulate back to the tank when in neutral and still have the work ports blocked in neutral?
A: Yes, the porting is exactly as you describe. In the neutral position fluid flows from inlet to exhaust and the work ports are blocked.

is this valve & subplate capable of power beyond? be able to run 2 valves & and 2 double acting cylinders?
A: This does not have power beyond capability. You can put 2 of the 9-6136 valves onto a dual station subplate (item 9-5883-2).

I bought this valve and it works fine , however I should have purchased a different one probably because my main line pressure drops too much for the rest of my combine system as it is ahead of my main pressure control valves, should I have purchased a closed center? Can this be overcome with a different base or do I need a closed center valve with all ports closed in neutral and a different base?

Will this solenoid valve control a double acting cylinder? If so, Can I wire the solenoid valve to a 3 way momentary toggle switch (center position of the switch is neutral/off). Pushing the switch one way could extend the cylinder and the other would retract the cylinder. Also, do you have a drawing of the DO3 subplate? How would I plumb the DO3 subplate? Are there 4 ports on the subplate? Pressure side, return side, cylinder extend side, and cylinder retract side.
A: Yes it would work just as you describe. To get more info on the subplate see item 9-5883-1. Click on the Dimensional Drawing link to see details.

are the subplate mounting bolts included
A: The capscrews that hold the valve to the subplate are included with the valve.

Do you offer the D03 subplate for this part and the electrical plugs? Thank you.
A: Yes item 9-5883-1 is the subplate and 11-2457 is the connector for the solenoids.
