Do you sell the replacement Vickers solenoid P/N 507833?

A: We do not sell replacement coils for these, no.

what is the difference between a 3 position tandem valve and one that is described as blocked in neutral?

A: A Tandem center valve is defined by some manufacturers as having work ports blocked in neutral with the Pressure and Tank ports connected in neutral. We typically refer to that as an Open Center Cylinder spool. The other option for describing all ports blocked in neutral (work ports as well as Pressure and Tank) is a Closed Center Cylinder spool. We define a Motor spool in either Open or Closed Center systems as one where the work ports are open to Tank in neutral.

are these valves like the newer style valves that last longer because the solenoids are in some kind of an oil bath?

A: Probably not. This design has been in use for decades with no changes.

What do i need to tell the motor to stop and go or will the solenoid do that also .

A: You would need to provide some method for switching the motor that drives the pump for the system. Depending on how you need that to happen it could be a momentary or a maintained switch/relay/contactor, actuated manually or electrically.

what is the difference between all ports open to the tank in neutral , and work port blocked in neutral will my hydraulic retract with all ports open .

A: With all ports open to tank in neutral, a cylinder will not hold a load. With work ports blocked in neutral, a cylinder would hold a load if there was no bypass leakage on any seals.
