Is the end of the acme shaft smooth and a keyway? Is it feasible to revolve at 360RPM and lift 300#?
A: The end of the acme screw is not smooth and has no keyway. We have no data to state what the maximum turning speed is, or what load the threadform can support, but your stated values seem reasonable.

What is the pitch accuracy, in other words, with this 1"-4 Acme rod, if I revolve the rod exactly 48 revolutions, how many thousandth's of an inch will I be off from the theoretically exact 1 foot of travel? (Accuracy of acme lead screw pitch is usually expressed as an error measured in thousandth's of an inch per inch of travel or thousandth's of an inch per foot of travel.
A: The manufacturer classifies this as 2G thread for tolerance. No other information is published.
