4 BOLT FLANGE BEARING Brand new 200 series flange bearings. Cast iron construction with self-aligning ball bearing insert and grease zerk. All bearings except eccentric lock collar types include set screw on the inner race to lock shaft. Items with eccentric locking collar have set screw in the collar.
A: Unfortunately the manufacturer does not provide axial load ratings, only radial.

When I found your site I clicked on Bearings and on the page that came up there is a bearing in a 4 bolt flange with a grease zirk that looks just like what I need except that someone had asked about using this mounting with a thrust type bearing and he was told no this would not accommodate a thrust bering. My question ."Do you have such a mount that would work with a Thrust bearing that I could mount at the bottom of a one inch threaded Acme Rod that I will be using to lift and lower my head on my portable Bandsaw mill. and bearings.
A: We do not, no.

Can the bearing be removed and replaced with a thrust type bearing. It appears that the bearing in this flanged unit is embedded in a race that would be removed. If that is possible, what is the outer diameter of the race that is inserted. thanks....
A: No. The housings are made for removable self-aligning type bearings where the races have a domed outer diameter to accommodate pivoting. The housing would have to be bored to make a smooth channel to press in a thrust type bearing.
