10:1 GEAR REDUCER New, WORLDWIDE ELECTRIC cast iron right-angle worm gear-reducer. Left hand output shaft when viewed from input shaft. Can be easily swapped to give right hand output. Tapped mounting holes on top and bottom of case. Mounting base supplied. Input can be directly coupled, belt or chain driven.
Are these worm gear reducers reversible, or one direction only? In other words, can they be driven in reverse under as much power as forward without damaging the gears? (some worm gear reducers are reversible and some are not)
A: These should only be driven from the input shaft and never used as a speed increaser.

What is the relationship of input direction to output direction? For instance if I turn the input clockwise what direction does the output turn when viewed from its shaft side?
A: The input/output relationship is same/same. CW input will yield CW output.
