New PEERLESS model MST-203-568 transaxle. Originally made for front engine tractor style riding mowers. Disc brake. Axle shafts have keyway and snap ring groove for wheel installation. Rotary inline shifter shaft with square drive and tapped end.
The description states the axle length is 27 inches, but the catalog has 24 inches as the length. Wondering which is correct. Thanks
A: The 27" dimension is correct.

What is the rated weight capacity that this transaxle will carry?
A: We do not have that information. It was intended for use on a front engine mounted tractor style lawn mower, so the load rating will be comparable to a unit which is of similar size.

Is this transaxle oil or grease filled?
A: This transaxle uses grease for lubrication.

Will this MST-203-568 be an exact replacement fo a H MST-203-568? What does the H mean? Thank you Mark
A: Sorry we dont' know what that H refers to. Seems like it would be identical.

I have a peerless transaxle clearly marked H MST 203-568 and fitted it to Bolens Suburban garden tractor with engine at the front and I finish with 3 reverse and one forward gear. Am I going mad? Is there a way around this? Thanks for your help. John
A: Sounds like the input shaft is being turned backwards. When this happens you get the exact scenario you are describing.
