Can this pump be driven directly from 12V solar panels? Will it have any issues with the ramp up and down of available power at the beginning and end of the day?
A: It would be best if it were run on a circuit that provided it with a full 12VDC. The manufacturer does not rate it to operate successfully in an under powered situation without damage.

Would this pump work for pumping water out of a lake, stream... uses vary from filling a herbicide spray tank to watering garden areas. Is it continuous duty? What type shaft bearings. Are wear components replaceable? Thanks
A: This would have bushings on the motor shaft. It could be used for your application however it is not self priming which would mean you would have to prime it each time you ran it. Parts are available for it.

How high will the pump water vertically? The discharge is into a 1" PVC Pipe and needs to move fluid about 8 Vertical feet.
A: Yes, it should flow about 12 GPM with this much head (height of water above the pump). This is open flow and if you required any pressure at the discharge the flow would be diminished.
