2.8 HP TREADMILL MOTOR
New, Icon Health and Fitness model# F-286340 permanent magnet motor with brushes. Built for use in treadmills, ideal for use with speed controller. Would also make an excellent DC generator. Rated for 2.8 HP treadmill duty or 2.8 HP (2089 W) continuous duty. Internal, normally closed bimetallic switch signals thermal overload. 

Motor housing diameter measures 115mm (4.527"). Removable, heavy (8.75 lb.) steel flywheel mounted onto motor shaft by means of keyway and retention screw. Flywheel measures 169mm (6.654") dia. x 40mm thick. Flywheel has 38mm O.D. ten-groove pulley for serpentine belt. Requires external source of air-flow over motor for prolonged use.
